Nash v. Doe

United States District Court, W.D. Wisconsin

December 8, 2017

WILLIE NASH and HELLEN BRANTLEY, Plaintiffs,
v.
JOHN DOE, CAPT. NYBAKKE and KIMBERLY RICHARDSON, Defendants.

          ORDER

          PETER OPPENEER MAGISTRATE JUDGE

Plaintiffs Willie Nash and Hellen Brantley have filed a proposed civil complaint. Plaintiff Nash asks for leave to proceed without prepaying the filing fee. However, I cannot determine whether plaintiff Brantley qualifies for indigent status. To make this determination, plaintiff Brantley must submit a financial affidavit, which I am enclosing with this order.

         ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that plaintiff Helen Brantley may have until January 2, 2018, in which to submit an affidavit of indigency and return it to the court. If plaintiff Brantley fails to provide this requested information in a timely fashion, then the court will deny her request for leave to proceed without prepayment of fees or costs for failure to show that she is indigent.
