this case, the plaintiff is Brandon Harris, a former prisoner
at Waupun Correctional Institution. The defendant is Joshua
Mason, a correctional officer at the prison. On April 18,
2017, Harris suffered from a sickle-cell crisis, an acute
episode of pain caused by sickle-cell disease. Harris says
that he asked Mason for help, but Mason delayed in getting
him medical care. Mason says that he responded appropriately
